Adam is a busy professional musician who has lived in New Mills for over 40 years. He played in New Mills Band from 1986-1992 under the direction of Charles Woodward, touring in Germany along with many UK concerts.    In 1992, Adam joined Stockport’s “Stagesound” and “New Lights” big bands before moving to study piano, trombone and voice at Leeds College of Music in 1995. He graduated with the BA (Hons) in Jazz Studies in 1998 and continued onto the Postgraduate Diploma at Salford University until 2000.   Adam currently tours nationwide with “The Amy Winehouse Experience,” plays piano in two big bands, runs the Tatton Flower Show bandstand, works at New Mills Art Theatre and takes on a variety of session work with different groups.   He also teaches piano at four secondary schools, composes music for multimedia and runs a weekly college soul band in Manchester. Adam is married with two daughters and one Labrador!
