ABOUT NEW MILLS BAND

We are a non-contesting community brass band for all ages & abilities.

We support community events such as the local carnival, Christmas events, and Remembrance Sunday; we play regularly in pubs, parks, and bandstands as well as giving two to three major concerts a year.

The band currently has players from a wide range of ages and welcomes the contribution of players with a range of experience, from beginners to players with advanced performance degrees.

Inclusion is our central principle - we offer free instrument loan to our members so that players from all walks of life can enjoy weekly rehearsals and frequent playing opportunities.

We are reputed to be the oldest continuously playing brass band in England and we want to keep going!I
